Mr. George M. Mbarika, Sr. was born and raised in the Zang-Tabi Village of Cameroon. Although he currently resides in Yaounde, Cameroon, his heart is remains dedicated to his village and its people. The George M Mbarika, Sr. Foundation was set up in the USA to reflect the legacy and beliefs of Mr. George M. Mbarika, Sr. Some of these believes include:
- The fear of God which entails a personal relationship with Jesus Christ;
- Hard work as pillar to excel in Education at all levels;
- Excellence in service to one’s community;
- A believe in giving back to the community one comes from;
- A dedication to fight all forms of indecency and corruption.
The Foundation is involved in promoting all five area above. Some community project plans include training youths in printing and publishing industry(something he has done, and continues to do, for over 40 years), donating a multimedia information technology laboratories to schools in rural areas, scholarships for education at all levels, ensuring youths in primary schools can afford to attend basic primary education as well as providing funding to children who cannot pay for books or examination fees at the primary school level.
